Boarding Step Replacement

I'm curious as to whether anybody has replaced their boarding step with one from a different model/year. I have an 09 GTX Ltd and half is missing. I've measured 15 inches between the inside of the 2 mounting brackets. Does anybody know how universal these things are? Finding measurements online is next to impossible. Thanks

I am a disabled Veteran. I was in an explosion in Iraq that left me with partial paralyses on my left side.

I am 6'3" and 240lbs. I own a 2016 GTR 215 and a flats fishing boat. I've managed to pull myself onboard both after falling off of them due to balance issues. Do you REALLY need a boarding step? I sure don't on my ski. On the boat, it's questionable as to how much surf there is. But on the ski, I've pulled myself up on it in flat calm waters and also, timed it perfectly for rough, Gulf waters.

No need for a boarding step IMO.

I was holding off on the "hit the gym" comments, since IMO a boarding step is completely useless but I understand the need for some, and I do know my wife, even tho she's in excellent shape, has a hell of a time, just no upper body strength.

Thanks. I did not see that Parker Yamaha was so much cheaper than many other places.

It's not that I need a step, but whoever buys it in a year or 2 will probably want it. I'll see what I can do.

oh well geez.

i wouldn't piss away $100 on a step then, it WONT add $100 in value, and it won't decrease the value if its not there.

remove the bar, leave the brackets on, if the buyer ask's about it tell him it was slowing down the ski and you picked up 1.5 mph

ps, parker is favorable on pricing (and have sales all the time) BUT they tend to stick it to you on shipping in my experience. But FWIW I've bought more from parker than BRP itself, or OSD, I just usually try to bundle my purchases so shipping isn't as painful.

back in 2014 I needed a fuel float magnet, $9.99 + 12 shipping,, jesus....
