Blue top Optima battery upgrade

I figured I would let everyone know about this. I just bought one off ebay for $80 pluss $30 shipping for a battery thats over $250 in the stores near me.

You cant really compare the price of a used battery for 110 to a NEW one for 250. It is not quite the same. You get no warranty. But its still a decent deal.

I agree with Foster, buying used batteries is not something I would do ... But hey, if you got a blue top for a 120 ... that's in good condition ... that's a steal :thumbsup: they are awesome batteries!!

I do agree with you guys on the used battery thing. Iv never bought a used one before. I did email the company and they said they are all stand by batteries and have never been used, hopefully there not junk! I do know that sometimes you get what you pay for. lol

its probably a really good deal. I just like the 2 year warranty optiima gives you.

Do you know if thats a 2 year warranty from the date of manufactur or date of sale?

Optima's are very nice batteries and I have used them in the past. I have since switched over to Odyssey in all my bikes, ski's ,truck and diesels. This year marks the 9th year for one xp and 7th in the other. The last one in my F 150 lasted 12 years (not driven in the winter). They are made by Enersys and have a 48 month replacement policy as well as being a 100 month pro rated. Also can sit for up to 2 years before needing a charge.
