Battery positive terminal cracked

I’ve had the positive terminal on 2 battery’s crack this year. Would there be a reason this happened? Or is it just bad luck?

It’s a 98 Spx and I put a rebuilt engine at the end of the season last year. I’m not sure what type of mag is in it.

Also my mpem got messed up and is always sending a signal to the solenoid to close even with the key off the post. So Idn if the battery has anything to do with that.

Yeah I did a ton of testing and have a thread on here from that. It is definitely the mpem. I just ordered one today from England that’s new old stock. So we will see how that goes lol.
