Battery installation for 2008 GTI/GTX Seadoo

Hi, new to the forum stuff and placed question in meet and greet instead of here earlier!
I would like to know how to install the batteries in my Seadoos. The mechanic I normally use is MIA.
Thought I could do this if not too involved......
If I am starting new for the season, is there anything else I need to do besides putting in the battery? It was winterized by the mechanic in the fall.

Hi & welcome to the forum.

Very easy to do.
Battery - make sure they are charged up 100% - if not known then take them to a auto parts store and have them load tested (free).
Connect the red cable (s) of the skis to the positive side of battery and the black(s) cables to the negative side of battery

OH, if you start them on the hose follow this procedure, Start the motor THEN turn on the hose. To shut down - Turn OFF the hose then turn off the motor.

Do you know when the last time the pump oil was checked or changed?
What oil are you using for the motor?

By asking questions in this forum you shouldn't have to take the skis to the MIA mechanic ever again.
