2004 Santa Fe - Drove 200 miles yesterday, no problems. Interior light was left on overnight and the battery drained . Charged with my Optimate 4 charger for about 3 hours and started right up but now the Check Engine light is on and the 4WD warning light is flashing. No warning lights were on before the battery went dead and was recharged. Thoughts?

The compression is fine SDB :)

my guess, is a fault for low battery voltage, un hook both battery cables and touch together for 10 seconds, then hook back up -- this is a capacitor discharge -- let me know

you know its all from a dead battery, if you have a real problem, light will come back on -- trust me

Thanks Jeff! As usual, you nailed it. Problem solved.:cheers:

Thought you passed this beast on to some other unsuspecting soul? LOL

You are correct Racer. I had (2) 2004 Santa Fe's. Sold one a couple weeks ago. So still got one Santa Fe, my new '13 Ram Quad Cab and '79 corvette (that i would like to sell next).

What, did you hit a BOGO sale on Santa Fe's? LOL--couldn't resist.

actually bought 3 santa fe's that year. Tri-Fecta! Bought the first, 2 months later my wife was rear ended at a red light and it was totaled.
Replaced it with an identical one, then a couple months later bought one for me. Being steeler fans we had one black and one gold :)

I'm envious....

Those b@$tards at RAM pushed my new 1500 Diesel off until the first quarter of 2014. I wanted a new truck for X-mas.

Wait for it. You won't regret it. Got my hands on a pre production model from a friend that works for Chrysler and let me tell you I was impressed. And I'm a GM guy!

I like my Diesels... but I couldn't drop $50k on a new truck last time. AND, this new little diesel has a better tow rating than my 4.7l gas.

Tony, A '79 vette would look pretty cool under your tree :)

I was thinking of that. (lol)
