I have a 1998 Seadoo Gsx limited with a 787 engine
I put in a brand new battery and noticed that the 12v low sign comes on when im trying to start it. it does start and i am able to ride but then notice that eventually after a day or two of riding, the battery dies. So i dont think the battery is charging while im driving it like it's suppose to. i checked all the fuses and their all good. Can you tell me what part charges the battery and how to replace this part?

Welcome to the forum....!

I think we might be able to help you out just a bit.

First off, that low voltage light coming on during the start is normal. That's because your draining the batteries amps at a high rate of consumption without the charging system there to put anything back in. But once the ski starts, that light should go back out. If it doesn't, then you probably have a problem in your charging system.

Charge your battery back up. Before you start it, take a reading on your batteries voltage. Write that down, then start it on the water hose (start motor first, then turn on water and vice versa when shutting it down). Once you have the motor running, take another reading on the battery. You should have a signifcant increase in voltage. Normally, the charging system is delivering anywhere from 13 to 14.5. If your not inbetween those two readings, you'll need to check your mag and voltage/rectifier for operation.
