90 seadoo sp backfireing afther carb cleanig never mess with anything that had to do with the timeing .it starts up good, at half of trottle thats when it starts to backfire and when i get it to full trotthle it bogs and dieds on me .my setting are at low 1-3/4 the other one is at 1/4.going to put new plugs today see what happends. or my setting wrong thanks ...

Did it run before the carb work?

Is it an actual back fire? (out the carb) Or is it just a popping?

An actual back fire can be caused by a lean condition, or excessive rotary valve clearance. (or out of time)

Finally... if it's been backfireing a lot... then the carb will need to be taken apart again. The heat, and pressure could have plugged up the transition orifices, or blown out the diaphragm.

No it did not .new spark plugs are in when through crabs again in it still backfireing at half throttle full throttle it turns off .help plz.

Timing is good how do I check the rectifire do I disconnect it

That would be the easy way... but you can just put a volt meter on the battery, and make sure it's between 13.5v and 14.5v when running around 5000 RPM.

Disconnect rectifire its still the same it sounds more like a popping noise trough the carburator .what's nec at half throttle its when it pops and at full throttle it turns of.
