Anyone Repaint their Windshield Frame?

Mine has some chips on it and I thought I'd mask it off and try to repaint it without removing the glass. I thought about using oil based rustoleum primer, then rustoleum black paint, but i think that may be too glossy. Stock is more matt finish. Anyone tried this?

Try using auto bumper paint, you can get it in a spary can and it's a semi flat paint. Be sure to use a scartch paid to rough up the surface.. You can get them at HD or the autoparts store and they are green or gray depending on the grit either will do the job..

Thanks, that makes sense. Although I'm gonna try to find it in a non-rattle can cause I'd like to roll it on. Not into masking the whole boat off. I think i'll just sand and prime with rustoleum first.
