Anyone have experience with suspension? Worth it?

Wondering if anyone has some experience with the IS suspension models? Is it effective? If so in what kind of water? What's it like in 2 foot swells? We use ours on a fairly big inland lake in Ontario. Neither have suspension but it doesn't seem to be a factor. In rough water, speed is generally limited to 25 mph in any event.

there have been quite a few reports of suspension models sinking.. apparently seadoo has fixed the issue but i dont like suspension models and i probably wont ever own one lol..

another issue with suspension models are they are a b&$%# to work on i think just to do an oil change you have to take the whole deck apart..

on a performance note. ive spoken to 2 guys with IS skis and both swear by them and absolutly love them in 2-3 foot swells.

You will get mixed reviews.

There was an era that did sink due to a poor design. As mentioned this was addressed and resolved from what I have read.

I watched a video just yesterday of one on somewhat calm water and it was pretty neat to watch. Lower hull to much of the movement away from the rider.

They are a bit top heavy as compared to the non-suspension models..

Take this from my personal experience: THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE TO WORK ON !!!!!!!

I have worked on 2 of them and if I ever see another one it will be too soon!!!

Interesting. I did read the incidents of them sinking. I wonder what they would be like in terms of handling? And does the suspension make that much difference at WOT? My issue is that I use my SeaDoos for about 2 months and then...they go to storage. I'd be concerned about the long-term longevity of a suspension model squeeking, among other things. Riding a jetski takes a little practice and I can ride quickly in rougher water if I relax and let the ski move with the waves, but I certainly can't do it for long periods at say 30 mph in very choppy water. Anyway, I can find enough calm water in our big lake.
