nope...thats for merc motors..etc. You need the API-TC oil, thats the NMMA/TC-W3 oil.

Thanks but thats even farther then the dealership. Looks like its a drive to the dealership for me :ack::ack::(

No disrespect to SeaDooYa, however, if you read the label found on the back of Quicksilver Premimum you will see that not only is QS Prem rated TC-W3, it is also API TC certified, so, in my opinion, it will work.

That said, don't use QS Premimum Plus because it is only used in motors that use TC-W3.

Possibly SeaDooYa mistook the difference?? If not, please leave a post and dont' kick my ass.

Oils cant TRULY be dual CERTIFIED. (But the manufacture can say it meets requirements) API-TC is a "low ash" oil, and TC-w3 is an ashless oil. In TC-w3 oil... they remove some of the heavy metals that act as high pressure lubricants. (Zinc, Phosphor, and Sulfur compounds) This is to comply with EPA regulations.

In my opinion... if if you see a dual rating... don't use it in a Rotax engine.

With that said... TC-w3 oils are not an instant death to a Rotax engine, but it's life will be cut. Also... you wont loose the engine in a catastrophic failure. Most likely, you will loose the clearance in the rotary valve, or the rotary valve drive gears will give out.

Regardless... gander mountain only sells the "Plus" oil.

Local Mercury Dealer

Our local Merc. dealer carries the PWC oil. You might check yours.

Surf, i never said to use the Q.S. Premium oil. I know that oil is TC-W3. He was looking for an alternative vendor/seadoo dealer, with the right oil. At bass pro shop, they carry the Q.S. "PWC" oil, which IS recommended for SEADOO brand skis/boats...
