another carburator question???

Would carbs off of a 1996 GTX work with my 1998 SPX? He says that they are 787/800 OEM Mikuni carbs and mentioned something about an accelerator pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

either way, with w/out excel pumps, carbs/settings are jetted/set accordingly.
