another carb question

Rebuilding one carb today that has been giving me problems. I've asked here b4 and already know about the other gasket on top of carb to flame...but after I removed the carb there was no gasket to the oil houseing...would that cause it to idle high and run lean...?... Thanks guys.

Gasket to the oil housing?? The carbs bolt to the intake manifold.

Yes sorry, was thinking of oil at time changing sensor

If you are asking about a gasket between the carb. and the intake manifold the answer is yes there is one. And not having a gasket there will cause an air leak and a lean condition.
