I got the boat all buffed out and cleaned up. Thought I would share some pics. The entire thing was buffed out, inside and out then waxed. Also swapped out the original decals with some i had made. The part I was concerned about the most was the rear hatch, but it polished up to look new. Pretty much ready to go for the season. Only other thing I wanna do is add some LED's.

Hydro Turf...!

Man, some really nice pix and nice boat!!!!!! I might add I see it's in a super, very nice neighborhood too....

I see you have the hyrdo turf. I hope you told them you were with the forum. They'll give youa 15% discount if you mention the forums name...

But hey, nice looking boat.

Thanks Snipe. Yeah I made sure to get the discount when I bought the turf last year. Its the best mod Ihave done. i recomend it to everyone.

As far as the neighborhood, we just got lucky. I normally couldnt afford any house back here. When the housing boom around here slowed down a few years ago prices dropped a bunch. We were lucky to find that the builder wanted to sell off the model house in this subdivision. So we got it fully decorated, and furnished for like $30,000 less than it would cost to build new.

That is a really sweet looking boat! You have done a nice job with it. I like the stereo install. I have been pondering the turf as well but I have to wait for funding to catch up.

Would you mind sharing with us your technique for buffing and what you use to do it?

I will have to check with my buddy on what products they were. He was in charge of the buffing since he has done it before. I just kinda hungout and buffed a little by hand. It was a 3 step process though. We did a a buff with rubbing compound, then buffed it out again with some glazing compound then polished it up with wax. All done with a random orbital buffer. We had to do a lot of the tight spots by hand.

Overall I am very happy. You can still see a slight discoloration where the old decals were removed. The area that was not covered by the decals is a little yellow compared to the bright white. We even tried to wet sand it there and it didnt help.
