Adding mirror(s) to '99 GS

I was reading the boating regs for our state and it states:
If towing another person on skis, tube etc., there must be a means to observe the person being towed. Either another competent person onboard the pwc to act as an observer OR a wide angle (at least 160 degrees) review mirror positioned to observe the person being towed.

So, I guess my question is this...is there a way to add a mirror(s) to one of these particular units that looks "factory" or not!?

My concern is that it may be a bit too small to put another adult on backwards while pulling the kids on a tube, so a mirror would be nice!

I don't know. The USGC regs says that a PWC must be a minimum of 3 people to legally tow.(Driver, Spotter, and a place to get the swimmer out of the water) Even if your local regs say a 160 degree mirror can be used.

Regardless... the only way to get a single mirror to be 160 deg... it would have to be an over head mount. (like on a windshield)

Problem solved...just found out the ski HAS mirrors on it already (couldn't see in the pics)! Doh.

The factory mirrors don't count as a "160 degree" mirror. Talk to your local boating law enforcement before you get in trouble.

Thanks Dr., but...I'm not too worried about it now...at least there are mirrors on it! I've never seen a ski with any different mirror styles on them and they seem to get away with it.

Besides, the local law enforcer is one of my drinking buddies!

OK... I'm just trying to keep you safe.

The only time where it's legal to tow a tube with a 2 passenger ski is on a privet lake. a 3 passenger ski doesn't need mirrors to legally tow.
