Add trim

I see the 01 RX has trim. AND reverse.
But my skis have one or the other.

Anyone add trim to a reversing ski? Or reverse to a trim ski?

Hey guys... let's try to keep the answers real.

Saber: It's possible, but not practical. There were only a few early seadoo's with both. The Challenger boat has the nozzle that you would need. (to make it a semi-bolt-on project)

Personally, I like reverse over a trim system. I can trim a ski using tabs, or wedges, to be able to operate in most situations... but reverse is nice to be able to maneuver for docking, or to have a "Nutral" for when you want to pick up your skier.

Wouldn't the nozzle / assembly from a 01 RX 951 bolt on to either my 02 XP or 02 GTX (both 951s) I'd just need to setup electric trim VTS or reverse on the XP...

low speed maneuvering with no neutral or reverse is a B*tch on the XP, but the trim is hella fun.

Low speed maneuvering w/the GTX is easy and fun (other than it's the reverse of my '99 GTX)... but trim might help this craft haul even more azz, or corner better...

The rx parts should be a direct fit. The trim on a gtx would have minimal benifits. The hard thing about adding reverse on the xpl is where and how to add the lever system.

True, but it is just a push / pull of a cable, so one could set it up a bit different than on the normal skis...

I do want a 01 RX... they seem like a really nice machine.

Yeah its a push pull thing but the lever system is reliving some of the pressure it takes to move said cable.

I have lots of cheap parts if you wanna start mocking it up ;)

As Minnitonka already said... yes they will fit. For some reason, I thought you were working on an older ski.
