Sometime in the next few days I'm going to start up a couple of Sea-Doos that belong to my boss.

They haven't been started for a couple of years and I'm very worried about causing damage.

I really know nothing about Sea-Doos so I thought I would post a thread and ask what I need to do to make sure that I don't cause any damage when I go ahead and start them.

One is 1998 Bombadier XP LTD and the other is a 2000 Bombadier GTX.

Any advice will be great received.

Thanks in advance

Dave.

Further to my previous message.....I am really worried about starting these Sea Doos up and possibly causing damage.

Is there anything specific I really need to check before hitting start?

I'm concerned that there is something that everybody in the forum knows about and assumes I know about when I really don't.

I've looked through the online manual but I usually find that manuals are no substitute for experience.

Thanks in advance

Dave

With the plugs in or out? Wires attached or not?

Sorry....I'm a complete novice.

No Offense....but how would you get the WD-40 down the plug holes if the plugs are in????? Take out the spark plug...Oh first remove the wires...then remove the spark plugs then quirt the WD-40 down the hole where the spark plugs (which you removed) used to be. Since they have been sitting, it will help in lubricating the cylinger walls for startup. The WD-40 will also help disperse the water. Water Dispersant Formula 40 = WD-40:cheers:

No offense taken what-so-ever. Thanks for your input

I just wanted to be clear before squirting anything into the cylinders.

I have armed myself with a tin of Water DISPLACEMENT 40 and I will do as suggested.
