A Word of Thanks

Guys, let me start by saying that I am a member of many different forums from boat to BMW to PWC. I just have to say that you guys are by far the most helpful, friendly, and over all great bunch of guys I have seen. In contrast the BMW forum I belong to almost makes me wish I didn't own a BMW but it's too dang fun to drive! Reminds me of the joke about what is the difference between a BMW and a porcupine... the porcupine has the pricks on the outside. :banghead:

To that end, thanks for all your help...you know who you are who has helped me over the past several months. I just hope that I am able to help others out as much as you guys have helped me. Thanks again. Now I feel better that I got that out :cheers:

Could not agree more with your post and your comparison. I am a member over at VWvortex (for VW and Audi owners) and if you ask anything that has ever been asked before everyone becomes an e-bully and rips you apart. This forum has been awesome to me so far answering many of my questions as a new Seadoo owner along with helping me solve various issues that my 16 year old machine has.

Can we all get together for a virtual beer on me? lol

I am a member over at VWvortex (for VW and Audi owners) and if you ask anything that has ever been asked before everyone becomes an e-bully and rips you apart. what is it with these car guys???? perhaps they all want faster cars than anyone else and don't want to tell their secrets because they are compensating....if you know what I mean ;-).

Car sites, and PWC sites are all the same. I'm a member on a few PWC sites... but you can see what my post count is here. (well over 8k) I like Gre en Hu lk for Polaris... but the Seadoo section is full of guys that always know better... or are only out for speed. This site is general maintenance.

My buddy has a Z3, and he has been saying the same thing about the BMW sites.

There was a vid similar to that floating around the sport bike threads. A guy in an old beater pick-up truck kept edging over so the bikes couldn't pass. Then... when one of the guys got brave enough to pass anyway... the truck almost hit him. So... when they got to the next stop sign... one of the bike guys called the cops because the truck guy got out and threatened them. After a minute or two... the cops came and put the guy from the truck, into the back of a squad car.

I ride a lot of sport bikes... and I don't get why people get pissed when I pass. If i'm in a twisty, hilly road... I don't want to be stuck behind someone going 15 mph. Heck... when I'm on my old man bike... I still want to pass.

I find boat people (PWC included) are just nicer people... when a boat / ski is broke down your first thought is do they need a tow. When there's a broken car on the side of the road only 1 in a billion would actually stop to help.

Haha you got that right! I've been a member of ls1tech since 2004 and have had two LS1 Z28's. Whenever it comes to the car forums it's always a pissing match. Both of my cars were full bolt on's and the last had a cam. I swear if I had a dime for everytime somebody asked me what's it run I'd be rich. Usually I had to explain to them I don't want to break it and that's why I don't know. Then 9/10 I was a puss..... I live 5 mins from a 1/4 drag strip so as you can imagine there are "race cars" all around. Tech was really cool until Internet Brands took over. Then it went to shit!

i know man, ive redone a couple gen 2 f-bodies. and because i just re-build the 350's that where in the i was a puss. i was always like i'm sorry but i'm not putting a big block into it, its to much work to do it right and i dont have that kind of money or time. a 400hp 350 was always plenty for me.

Nice man I love the early Gen 2 F Bodies. I still want a 91 ish convertible with a ls swap. Always loved those cars even with the heavy doors, slow windows, and cheap interior!
