Hey all.. New to the whole Seadoo forum and had a couple quick questions.. I live in NY and wanted to know if there are any good (non ripoff) Seadoo mechanics around the City, Long Island area.. Got my '98 Gs Seadoo out of storage a couple days ago and when i crank it it sounds like this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhpnnMJCS6s,

Bought a new battery and its doesn't help but when i take the plugs out it looks like chocolate milk.. prob water in the cylinders.. figured i would throw it out there for any help i could get... thanx alot..

Have you checked the cable connections to the battery and the ground? If you have milky substance on the spark plugs the cylinders might have had water in them is on the verge of being seized. Do a compression test too, if you can. Water in the engine for even a short time will cause major problems.

If there is water in the jugs, and it's been sitting... that engine is done.

BUT... one of the reasons it won't crank is because there is water and oil in it, and you don't have enough energy to get it to crank. SO... either you need a better battery, new starter, or get more of the fluid out of the engine.

Also... if it is a water/oil mix... there is a chance that the water has entered the starter, and has messed it up enough, that it just doesn't have enough poop to crank it with compression.
