I just thought I'd share my wee project on my 04 XPdi..
I decided to put sounds on it, but wanted something slightly more funky than the ones ive seen. I found a Fusion head deck that suited the application. Check the pics..
I have a set of 4inch DC Gold speakers still to be mounted where the rear view mirrors are. i have a usb port going into the top hatch and have made a waterproof ipod dock out of a tupperware container, an ipod usb cord and some foam to protect the ipod.
The head deck has am/fm and VHF which is handy for out on the water. I have waterproofed the back of it by sealing off all the wiring ect.
I also came across this funky little device that cuts the power to the stereo when the battery drops below 11.8v so I can still start the ski
The extra switch below the stereo is to cut the power if the ski isnt used for a period of time.
I will post more pictures when I finish the speaker install off.
Update: Finished putting in the speakers! This thing cranks! Can be heard @ 100+km/h no probs :bigear:
