Sorry for another post. I am new to this machine. As I stated earlier I just installed all new fuel lines. I got the machine running again this morning and noticed the fuel gauge doesn't work and the low oil level light is on. I pulled the lid off the box with two fuses and they checked out fine. Is it something to worry about not having them work? My old Kawasaki I had in the mid 90's didn't have and gauges so I just checked the tanks regularly.

Typically the magnet on the fuel float falls off so the pickup has nothing to read. I would check the connections then as a last resort pull the fuel sender.
THe oil sensor just pushes into the oil tank so it should be fairly easy to pull and check.

the oil level sensor isn't expensive, and i think unplugging it leaves the light on. you have to short the wires to turn it off...

I'd put in a new sensor.

as for the fuel level, what fails is the pickup baffle. some people repair them. I usually replace. you'll remove the 2 bolts holding the front of the seat in place. you can then lift and rotate the seat out of the way enough to get to the baffle.

Not hard to fix the fuel baffle and not hard to remove. just two bolts, as explained above at the front pivots and then you can access the hole with the cover. Mark and remove fuel lines and lower clamp and pull it out. Either your float has sank, lost magnets, or your F1 fuse is out which both are simple fixes and will cost like $12 for a new float.

Your oil sensor is an easy fix as well and should be fixed for peace of mind. Used ones sell cheap on ebay and they are pretty reliable unlike the fuel baffles.
