99 speedster sk engine heat

Hi guys, My speedster sk engine heat alarm will go off when the engines are not heating. I can hold my hands on the heads and they are not heating. It does not always happen, but when it does, unhooking the temp sensors does not stop it. Any idea what might be happening? Thanks for your help.

Remove the sensors and clean. I use a wire wheel.

There is a low fuel alarm that will sound if the fuel is low. If the float isnt working and your gauge shows empty, it may set off the low fuel alarm. I have seen someone else here with that before. Does pushing the fuel switch on the panel silence it?

The fuel reserve switch is the last switch on the right of the panel.
