99 seadoo gts 720 great top speed slow take off

have 2 99 gts 720 1 has great top speed but slow take off seems like low rpms compaired to my other one but once it gets moving it out runs it any ideas as to what may be wrong with it its not as much fun to ride as my other 1

Welcome aboard. Even though I am new to this my guess would be different impellers in the pumps, same happens in regular boats, under prop great hole shot, lose top speed, to a point over prop and you lose some hole shot and gain top speed.

Also check your wear ring clearance gaps.

It sounds like cavitation, check your clearance between the wear ring and the impeller, it should be no more than .040" about the thickness of a dime.

have allready installed new wear ring because of cavitation did replace the pump off of an sp my other gts revs higher at take off any way to tell pitch in prop
