I'm working on a 99 GTX with the Rotax 947. I've determined that the front injector is not delivering fuel. Both injectors have been professionally cleaned. I swapped injectors and they both function properly in the rear cylinder, but neither will function in the front cylinder. Is there anything else I can do to narrow the diagnosis down some more. I'm really hoping it can be something a little less serious than the MPEM. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Is your ski DI (direct injection)? I'm only showing 2 models for a 99GTX, a carb. model with 2 carbs., and RFI with throttle body.

BTW, you should post this on the 2-stroke forum.

I am a bit confused.. Unless I am reading your message incorrectly.

I take it your ski has ONLY two injectors. And when either of the two are in the back, they work?

If this is what you are saying, then your issue has nothing to do with an injector. It is whatever is telling the injector to work.
It could be the ECU (Brain) but I doubt that as it will normally lose more than a single driver element. Meaning,,, that no injector would receive the input to tell it to open and or close.

It is more likely to be a wire harness or if there is a power feed such as a solenoid.

Do you follow me or am I reading your message wrong?

Coastie, your reading it right. It only has 2 injectors. The head was just rebuilt so I took it to the boat ramp and cranked it up. Even though I'd never heard it run(wife's dad just bought em a couple months ago and this one didn't run) it sounded rough. I unplugged front plug wire and nothing happened, re-attatched the front plug wire and unplugged the rear one and it died. Switched injector positions in the fuel rail and had the same results. This unit has an ECU, and a MPEM. With my limited knowledge and resources I've narrowed it down to the ECU,MPEM, or a wiring problem. I was curious if anyone had any other diag ideas to help get closer to the culprit. Thank you.
