For 2 seasons my plugs keep getting fouled after 1 weekend.
I thought I had this problem last season, as in July I figured out how to clean the air cleaner... All was great for the rest of the season.
Now Fast forward to this season and I've had the GTI out maybe 4-5 weekends with no problems.
last weekend she lost all power and wouldn't get over 20 mph.
so we brought her to shore, and pulled the air cleaner (PIA) and it was clean as ever. cleaned the fuel filter, then I pulled the plugs and they were bad so I figured since I didn't change them since last July I will just put a set in there.
I put new plugs in and she drove like a champ again until 1 week later (this weekend)
She started out fie but I was spinning around jumping wakes etc...when she lost power again.
Limped her to shore and checked the plugs-yep bad again. Borrowed a set from another guy and she started fine and took off for a sec but then lost power on the way to the dock.
so we limped back to the trailer and now I'm back home...
What am I missing?
Thanks
