99 gsx ltd gauges

Im wondering if the 98 gsx ltd gauges will fit on the 99 . From wire diagrams ive seen the 98 has 25 and 99 17 wires meaning itll have to be re-wired? Both my gauges are shot and having a hard time finding them online for 99.

Since you've looked at the wiring diagrams for both, what's different? Your going from 25 to 17 wires, so what's not getting connected? When you say your gauges are 'shot' what do you mean?

Well im saying ive heard the wires would have to be moved around in order to work with my mpem and the 2000-2001 rx is the only other gauge that matches mine exactly. My info center gauge screen is damaged and the wires inside it are terribly corroded like theres actual patina in it . Tachometer is broken

Whoos meant to send this diagram is the 98 gsx which has got the compass and air temp

I'm not sure where the issue would be connecting any info gauge in those years, I have a 96' GSX, just like the 98' is has connections for compass and air temp, but it's not used. Some of the info gauges from the vendor at the time had the extra features like a GTX would have but they were not used on the VTS skis.

My 96' didn't have a speed o, a compass, or an ambient air temp, but I was able to add and connect all of them because the wires are there on the gauge.

Get the 98' or whatever you find that has the VTS, it'll work.

I heard id have to move the wires around to its right place cuz theyre in different order
And cap off the ones not in used..is that true ?
