Hey all,
Since the start of this season, I have had an issue when I take back the throttles from full speed the engines cut out. All I have needed to do is adjust the lanyard a bit and the engines start right back up. Well today I went to pull my boat out of the lake (to fix this issue and a cavatation problem) as I was starting the engines (one did start, both turned over) they cut out and will not respond to reseating the lanyard, I can no longer start my motors and I have plenty of battery.
I read up on some other people's issues with the lanyard, and or starting, it seems as though I have the more security based DESS system which will not allow me to bypass.
I have checked all the fuses in the engine compartment, all were fine but are now reseated (didn't see any behind the drivers console).
I beleive this problem could be multiple things, lanyard, connector for lanyard or maybe another spot in the electrical system that I'm not aware of. Any assistance with troubleshooting would be great...I don't know how I will test to find the problem.
Thanks
