My one motor keeps cutting out. At first it was just at WOT, now its getting worse and happening just about at any RPM range AND even cut off just sitting at idle about 5-6 times. I just got it back from WMF Watercraft and spent an ungodly amount of money on it, and all I had done was all the carbs rebuilt, and the exhaust bungs welded.....what in the hell could be wrong with it now. Bill from WFM had the boat for 2 months and I literally had it on the water for 15 min....I am not happy about this at all. Is there anything you guys recommend I can do or check so I dont have to drag it back up to DE??

I hate to see you have problems after spending lots of hard earned cash on it... First, try changing out the spark plugs. Check to see if the carbs are in sync with each other also...

Karl thanks for the response, it has new plugs in it....could one have fouled after only about 15 min of running? And how do you check to see if they are in sync? Just see if they move at the same time with throttle?

Check by eye that the linkage is in sync...If it were me I'd let the servicing dealer make it right after spending all that money. It better be repaired quick this time too!

Yup... that sux, but it could be a coincidence.

They worked on the fuel system... but does the cutting out feel more electrical in nature? Is it an instant off, or is it a stumble?

If it's a stumble, I would ask the shop to fix it since they worked on the carbs.

If it's an instant off, then it may be something that they didn't touch.

I know I've had guys get pissed at me before for saying this... but this is exactly why I hate shops, and why I do my own work. Most shops will do the work, and test fire it, and send it on it's way. I just did an engine (and a bunch of other stuff) for a member here... and I'm going to take it to the water this morning, and give it a proper test before I call him to say his boat is ready.

Anyway... good luck with the issue.
