98 gtx rfi

I am wondering if I could convert the rfi motor to a 787 carb motor in my 98 GTX

I don't believe you can do that

You can. You would basically need a carb 96 xp with the 800 to do it. You need the electronics and obviously carb parts

Is there a pulse line fitting from the block to attach the pulse line to the new carb fuel pump tho? I doubt it, the RFIs had an external fuel pump...

I don't know. I wad looking to do the same to my gsx. I know a guy that did it before on 800's and saw a 951 converted to carb.

way too much to change -- motor, mpem, driveshaft, pump, fuel tank, cables, exhaust, ... just not worth it

I'm sure there would be a nipple for the RAVE solonoid. so if there is only 1 nipple, then just put a T fitting and run the pulse line to the carb from there. But you would need the carb MPEM, possibly wiring harness as well.

after owning a fuel injected ski, why would you want a carbed one ???? unless it was a built 800 hp or something of that sort...., would you want another carbed car or truck as your daily driver ??? fuel injection is just so easy, gas in 1 tank, oil in other, put lanyard on, hit start and go .....

You could buy a running 787 carb ski for less than the conversion would cost you with time and money
