98 GSX Ltd VTS problem

The VTS (Variable Trim System) on my 98 GSX Ltd is not working at all. when i push the button down it makes a click noise and the same happens when i push the up button. could someone please help me as i dont know much about VTS and would appreciate any help with diagnostic and fixing the problem.

the motor is probably frozen. It's a common problem. If the pushrod boot leaks, water goes into the housing, and the motor rusts.

Before you roast the electronics... remove the VTS unit, and get the motor out. If you are careful, and it's not totally rotten... you can open the metal cover, and clean it all out. If it is rotten... then you need a new motor.

Yup what tony said...if you need any parts I have them; Housings, motors, seals, and good covers.

cleaning it out and freeing it up should do the trick, did that with mine but my electronics were bad, put in a DEI451 relay and it all works again but sounds like motor is bound up somehow. it is the fuse in the front of the seadoo under the hood. In the small black box i think is is a 15 amp fuse.....

No its a 7.5a and its not smart to put a bigger one in unless you like buying MPEMs.

If the fuse blows there is a reason why...
