97 Seadoo GTX Has an occassional Knock when idling

My 97 GTX has an occassional "Knock" when idling. once I get going up to full throttle its fine. any thoughts to what it might be ?

I took it into the shop and they said the would pull the motor out and fix it for $2000.. That seems a bit pricey for an occassional knock... any thought ?

Had the same problem with my SPX's not sure what the sound was but it seemed to fix the issue.

2000?!?!? they better give u a new engine for that price

That's normal. It's idling too slow and the impeller is shifting fore & aft causing the knock. As said, turn up the idle a little.
