Just purchased it 2 weeks ago where the previous had no trouble starting it up out of water. Owner put in a new battery and spark plugs

I hooked up the hose to the back of it. Tried first lanyard key, heard 2 beeps, saw the gauges move the nothing.

Tried taking out the key and putting it back on...nonthing happens.

Tried second lanyard key, same as the first key.

I understand that you are suppose to hold the start/stop button while pulling out the choke and giving it some gas?

I'm new with pwc's. Any help is appreciated.

Did you turn the water on before starting the ski? If you did... you filled the engine full of water.

If you didn't ... give it a shot of starter fluid in the little hole in the air box.

If you turned the water on before you started it u filled the motor with water u need to pull out the spark plugs and crank the motor over with the plugs out to remove the water the put the plug in and try to start it you need to do this asap or your internal engine parts are goin to have problems it might take a few times of taking out the plugs and drying them off to get it to start

Yup you need to pull the plugs and turn the engine over by hand and see if water is in there...and get it out ASAP.

Have the battery checked, and check all connections.

Hey Dr Honda

I removed the spark plugs (they had some moisture on them) then tried crankin it, nothing. Put plugs back it, tried cranking it. Nothing. Maybe its the battery? Battery has 3/11 on it. And i'm not getting any beeps when i'm connecting the lanyard key.

Leave *plugs out, *wires on the grounding lugs.
In rear box, use a wrench on the solenoid lugs to crank/spin, get that water out, then use 32:1 gas/oil to get some lub down there, & fog.
Then we'll help figger out the no-start. But get some lub inside the engine or the raw metal will start rusting immediatly. (if not sooner) LOL

Well Guys,
I charged the battery overnight, and now when inserting the lanyard key I see the fuel gauge go half full and when hitting the start/stop button, its trying to start up....basically you just here a "clanck" "clanck" "clanck" like it needs some starter fluid?

Anybody got suggestions on what I need to do now? Thanks

Thanks for replying minnetonka4me,
Sorry for asking but where is the solenoid located? Kinda new at this. Thanks
