97 gtx, water shooting out between head and block

i just bought two 97 gtx skis with 787 motors, they came from wyoming and were supposed to be winterized so i could not run them before purchase, when i got them home and cleaned them up i hooked up water and started them one of the skis was shooting three small streams of water from the back side of the head inbetween the head and block i can see where gasket material was torn away, is this a head gasket issue any help would be greatly apprec. :banghead:

Hopefully just a gasket and not a crack.
