I'm having a discussion with a friend. My 97 GTX seems to run a little rough until it hits 28-3000 rpm. It then performs exceptionally up to full rpm. I think it is characteristic of the small cc engine and a tuned exhaust. (back in my offroad 250cc dirt bike days, we called this "hitting or getting on the pipe". Any comments out there on the subject?

Mine does the same and has a freshly built motor and carbs. I just cleaned the Raves, installed new plugs. I think that is just where the powerband for these 787s starts. I have my Raves adjusted all the way in, and it will still run 53-55mph.
