97 GTX exhaust outlet orientation

I'm noticing the orientation of my exhaust outlet does not match the parts manual. Maybe it doesn't matter. Any reason why the orientation matters? Currently, the fitting for the cylinder drain is at the 9 o'clock position looking front to back. Parts manual shows at 12 o'clock. Either way, the low spot is the bottom of the hull where the water sits and doesn't completely evacuate.

It shouldn't matter that much as long as you are around the top.
If you stop on the ramp after the ski is out of the water the back will be lower. This is also when you should start the ski and rev it a few times to drain and blow out most of the water. They exhaust will also dlow water out of the cooling system because they are interconnected to cool the exhaust. You might notice sometimes exhaust smoke will come out of the water indicator "pisser" because of this.

I did change location of the pisser this year, it’s now up front with 1/4” lines and outlet. I’m wondering if that may have changed the water pressure of the system inadvertently effecting the regulator operation, I lost 400 rpm on top this year.
