97 GTX carb swap

I have a 97 GTX that I recently put an SBT engine in. I acquired a set of carbs from a freshwater 97 xp with the external fuel pump. My question is this, Can I swap these carbs to my GTX without any changes? I am also interested in adding a set of flame arrestors, what kind of changes would I need to make on the jetting.

More or less.... yes.

Both of those skis have the 800 engine, so both of them used the 40mm carbs. The only difference is the XP's PTO carb is just a little richer than the GTX. (not a prob)

If they truly are from an XP... then you will run the high needles closed. On your GTX you run the PTO open a little... but since the XP has a bigger PTO jet... that's not needed.

Thanks, that is just as I thought.
Can anyone help with the flame arrestor question? Do I need to re-jet? What size?
