this sea doo idles well. Punch it and it acts like it is going to get on plane then looses spark in one cylinder. then with throttle still wide open runs 4000 rpm. let throttle go back to idle and she picks up the cylinder again. this process can be repeated. when the cylinder cuts out she shows a 12v low signal. is this a saftey mode-maybe I need a new battery?

You need to check compression first and fuel lines and filters second, if pressure is above 135 then fuel leanout is the next area - this covers fuel lines from the tank all the way to those tiny baskets inside the carbs, any steel gas can trash or fuel line decay will end up clogging the little carb screens - best to blow thru everything or if in doubt replace the lines one at a time so no mixup occurs.

i'd fire it up, and hold at 5k rpm, and check the volts at battery. Should be between 13.5-14.5 volts. Sounds like you got a rectifer issue. If it checks out good, try new spark plugs.
