Hello all,
I have a 97 gti 717 motor, I flipped the machine upside down in the water and immediately flipped it right side up. I ran the doo back to the dock slowly as it did not run properly, drained the hull and left it open to dry out. I did not drain the motor!
The next day I got the seadoo running and it eventually cleared itself and ran fine. I went back to the cottage a week later and it won't even turn over , no power , no beeps, the oil light comes on, other than that it is dead!
I did jump the starter and it turns over no problem, there is no corrosion on the terminals and the battery is good. BotH fuses are also good, any comments/help would be appreciated.

It sounds like either the starter solenoid or the battery cable(s). Try jumping the two main terminals on the solenoid.

Also try removing the two spark plugs, ground the terminals and see if the motor will turn over, either with the starter of by hand.

Hi Lou, I did try and jump the solenoid and the engine turns over. All connections are clean as well. If it was my solenoid would I not hear a clunk? I am hearing no noises! Suggestions , thx

You flipped it over...so, have you cleaned the post? Might not be getting a good connection if any

See if you get 12 volts at the trigger wire if the solenoid when the START button is pushed with the lanyard on the DESS post.

Update
I did Check for voltage after the solenoid, nothing! I have power going to the mpem and going to the stator and the start button.
I don't have any gauges only an oil light that does illuminate when I push the start button! I still get nothing when I try to start! Battery is coming in at 12.5 volts . Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you don't have power at the starter side of the solenoid (when trying to start), you have a bad solenoid. Does the solenoid energize?

Hi all, I sent my seadoo in to verify the problem, it was the Tess post. I replaced it, now the seadoo starts but every time I rev it up it blows the 5 amp fuse, any thoughts?
Note , if I put a 15 amp fuse in it will rev, without blowing , don't want to leave it this way though..

Well I'm back trying to figure this out, any help would be appreciated! I have the mpem out now , how do I check if it is working?
