With the fuel gauge you porb need a float. it is inside the tank. mark and remove the 4 hoses on the top of the tank, then disconect the wire plug, then loosen the hose clamp and slide out the fuel baffle. You may need to remove the small stroage area under the handle bars. Then once it is out on the bottom is a palte it snaps off inside is the float. Check two things one does it float. Use gas to check most bad ones will float in water but not gas. Next plug the wires back up and put the float in the sending unit and move it up and down so the float moves up and down the tube. With the seado on see if the fuel gauge moves. If it does you need a float. If it does not they you may need to buy a sending unit. You can get a flaot on e-bay or at some dealers. Most will ty to sell you the whole sending unit but they make just the float. Also sreach seadoo fuel gauge on the forums there are several post about it. The hose goes in the back at the jet pump left side, if you are sitting on it. Look where the black nozzle is and there is a small pipe with threads there it is easiest to make a short hose to fit it and then put on a garden hose, but you can put the hose right to it. Hope his helps.
