96 XP Turns over, Wont Fire

I have a 96 XP that will turn over just fine, but wont seem to get any spark to fire. I have tried everything that I can think off, all connections are good. Can anyone give me any suggestions that might lead me in the right direction to fix the issue?

being that its a 96, i'd pull the mag cover off and inspect the bracket, that holds the trigger coil.
