My 96 XP oil seals are leaking badly. With the plugs out it continues to pump oil out of the cylinders. Can I replace the seals myself, or do I need a new engine? I have mechanical skills and basic tools.

When you have an older 90's style, Its common to pincher off the RV gear line, as
most seadoos crank seals will leak because of gravitational elevation during winterization. Some leak after sitting a week. Its when the ski continues to smoke
after a 10 minute run are we ready to change out the crankshaft.
With *plugs out crank about 15 secound intervals with a rag over *holes wait 30 sec. Repete until oil stops. This way the starter doesn't overheat. Dribble some gas
down the *plug holes and dribble alittle pre-mix gas into carb(s) and start it. NOT
on the new driveway as blacken may spitter. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. I have done this, and the ski will start and run for a while, then bog down with oil fouled plugs and loose power and all accelleration.
