I'm still breaking in my reman engine, it has a nasty bog coming off idle. The entire fuel system has been gone through, carbs rebuilt with OEM kits, new lines, bypassed selector, bypassed water seperator.it runs excellent on the top end. Could the 32:1 mix do this? Any thoughts on this? I would appreciate any and all advise

Probably not the mix. On a new engine with oil injection you run 50:1 in the tank PLUS the oil injection. I just did this last season--no bog.

I'm thinking my needles aren't seating right. When I first start out it in it doesn't bog on take off, but after a minute or 2 it starts to do it. Is that plausible?

I also just noticed my gas tank is building up insane pressure! Could this cause the bog? I'm thinking my one way check valve on the rub rail is bad

The pressure relief will hold about 1.5 psi in the tank, which does not sound like a lot but enough to give a little poof when opening the cap. Pressure should only increase as the temperature rises. To be sure you can run it with the cap backed off just a bit to let some air out.

hook your water sep back up. its in there to help gravity feed the carbs. when you cleaned your carbs did you hold your finger over the main low speed jet hole to clear the two almost microscopic lower holes? then cover the two small hole to completely clear the main?

Are you saying having the water separator bypassed can cause this bog down on acceleration? I'm going back out on it tomorrow and I need this bog gone! Haha I appreciate all of the help guys I'm stumped here

yes and make sure the o-ring seal is good. and I've never used an ultrasonic. but it needs good ole fashion pressure to blast the varnish/ green goo out.

I would try richen it up and see what happens. Also you mention you have a primer. Is the butterfly removed? If so the stock jetting may not be sufficient and you may need to go with larger ones.

I've tried just about every LS adjuster settings possible, none have cleared it up. When I first take off it's fine, but after a bit it bogs bad and I have to feather the throttle to get going and then it runs like a champ. The plugs come out a alittle dark brown but I'm running 32:1 breakin oil.
If I pull the plugs after an idle they look overly rich and wet

a bog is lean, hesitation is rich. have you hooked the water sep back up? have you tried new plugs? when you're running pre-mix you're going to fowl plugs quick.

Not yet, I'm pulled the tank to clean it out, I saw crap in my inline filter. Going to put a new fuel float in while it's out

sometimes its hard to tell, a lean bog will sound like brrrrrrrrrrrrrr when opened to wot and if under a load (in the water) will die but can be "feathered" up. a rich condition will sound the same but will start to pick up by itself- unless its REALLY rich. if you slightly pull the choke and it picks up, its lean. heat is also a way to tell the two apart, lean will make it really really hot to the touch, especially the plugs. rich will be significantly cooler, still warm, but not on fire, if that makes any since lol.

then you are dealing with a rich condition. check your vent line while your in there, it could be that it's clogged and forcing more fuel into the carbs. are you diagrams seated right? I've had that happen to me too lol.

Tank is not supposed to build up that much pressure! I think that is causing you to run rich.
Your first thought about the fitting in the hull being clogged sounds like the first thing I would go for.
Mine will only build up a bit of pressure but just by unscrewing the cap, all the pressure is gone before I get it off. And that's with a 56L tank.

yeah, pull the line off the tank and see if you can blow through it with compressed air just to see if the hull fitting will pop.
Mine had dead bugs in it so i replaced both :s
