96 speedster boging down"fuel troubleshoot"

I'm having problems with my speedster boging down, checked elect and rectifier now i'm starting on the fuel.bogs down at 4k rpm but starboard runs wide open when you pull back the port, also the port engine is running terrible. I'm thinking i'm getting air from somewere in the fuel line. What is the best way to check for a crack in a fuel line? were should i start, fuel Valves, carbs, tank. Excelerator pump? The lines are all black not gray, does this mean they have been replaced? There is about 5 hoses going into the fuel tank, why so many what do they do?

If you had a leak in a hose... it would be wet with fuel.


I would pull the carbs, and give them a good cleaning.
