Anybody had this happen. This just started recently. The ski operates fine after getting it started. However, if left for a couple weeks or more without running, it hydro locks, and I have to remove the front plug and let is pump out a couple ounces of oil, then fires right up.

What can cause oil to leak into cylinders while not running?

Either your rotary valve seal, or your center crank shaft seals are leaking. You can change the rotary valve seal... but the crank will need to be replaced if that's the problem.

Hosestly... I would keep running it until it's time for a rebuild. (probably soon anyway)

Rotary seal

The manual says the case has to be taken apart and crankshaft removed to remove and reinstall the rotary shaft. Is there another way, when only replacing the seal? Does the external rotary gear come off and allow the seal to be replaced, without splitting the case?
