The short of a longs story . bought 96 gsx 800 last fall rode it 7 minutes blew engine hard nothing but carbs survived
so in the past couple weeks i found a new engine in decent shape to save some future issues i tor it down and had crank redone balance shaft as well cyl were good so honed new pistons rings gaskets etc . got all done installed it hooked everything up like it should be go to start for first time and it wouldnt go ..
it rolls over and over all day long changed and charged batterys to keep voltage full since i have heard 787 do not like voltage drop .
ive talked to dealer about this today, and they say there is no way to check mpem . only way to rule out is by changing them and one is 800 and the other 400 give or take seems to be a pretty expensive gamble for a ski i know have almost 5000 invested to something that is worth 2900 on a good day i am so confused and my mechanic is ready to pull his hair out but his marina is way cheaper then the dealer so ive been using him . he tested all this stuff over and over again today for 5 hours straight . we even changed to a known working coil because it was available on a running ski on the lot but that made no difference
so if you have any idea please help me i would really like to ride this before the snow falls and before i go broke ..
thanks in advance

So ive gone over everything again and again . it ran when it blew up . so i have tested coil pick up wires caps plugs little black ground wire to battery everything seems to be coming up with proper readings it rolls over and over all day long changed and charged batterys to keep voltage full since i have heard 787 do not like voltage drop .
