I have searched without luck as to how these flaps are actually supposed to fit. Under the air horns, above the exhaust recovery envelope, below it? I'm looking for a photo of a stock 951 engine with these pads installed. None of the factory manuals seem to show a good view of them! The photo is from my 2000 GTX. I don't know if they're on right, but I don't want to be sucking in water.

951 Carbed - Mine both lie on top of the exhaust manifold and on top of the flame arrestor intake tubes, this is how they were when I bought mine (used boat). Best I can tell this is how they're supposed to be but it doesn't seem correct.

I haven't located any factory photos either but haven't looked all that much so if you find them I'm interested.

The pic from Fbtased is almost correct from what I have found. The flap should cover the entire plastic snorkel and his little tab that is up on the pipe should be tucked under to stop pipe joint spray. He also is missing the diaper on the pipe.
