'95 XP won't run at WOT

So I took out my 95 XP on the lake today, it started up just fine and idled well. However, whenever I would max out the throttle, it would run full speed for about 10-15 seconds and then just die. I would then have to prime the engine several times in order to start it back up, but it would run fine again once I did that. Anything from slow to just under WOT speeds the thing ran great, not sure what the problem is, any input appreciated. Thanks

sounds like dirty carb filters.

Thats what Im thinking...anyone else have any additional input? The whole needing to prime it after it died kind of confused me

Clean the carbs, replace the fuel lines (if they are gray Tempo hoses) clean the fuel select valve, and make sure there are no leaks in the factory filter.
