Hey everyone, a long time friend of mine is selling his 95 xp that is in overall good condition and I'd like to buy it. It sat from 2001 to 2011 in his garage and he finally took out last summer after doing the following:
-New fuel lines
-cleaned carbs
-new wear ring
-replaced shaft bearing
compression tested and both cylinders at 150.
The jetski is really nice for its age and because of it sitting for so long, its estimated to have really low hours. A few concerns I have:
-Jetski takes on water slowly, after about half the day out at the lake, we have to put it back on the trailer and drain it (I'm guessing that's why there's a drain plug?). Coming from a 94 Kawasaki, I've never had to drain so I'm wondering if this is normal for these Seadoos?
-Trying to get on the jetski is very tricky, its very hard to keep balance and almost impossible to get back on if you fall off out in the middle of the water. Once you start moving it's fine, is this normal for this model?
How much is it worth? He wants $1400 which seemed like a fair price considering the condition and the money he put in it last year to get it lake ready. TIA
