this is my 95 seadoo xp that i paid $150.00 for well i actually got a 1991 polaris 650 sl tripple with it also for free but this one runs. it has the 717 motor in it. the 2 skis were in terrible condition as they were sitting outside under a tree uncovered for a couple years and were dirty dirty dirty.. the polaris even had a mouse living in the exhaust. but anyways this is my project.

i removed all the crud on it and in it along with all the foot padding. the seat was distroyed so that will be replaced. the storage cover was real nasty and faded so that got removed and will be sanded down and have a fresh coat of sun burst yellow sprayed on it. paint made specificaly for plastics and the same for the side grates , fuel cap and fuel selector. the bar pad was rough so that also got cleaned and painted. all the fuel lines will be replaced as they are the gray ones. it needs a spark arrestor, battery and a trim adjuster rod to be 100% complete. the bottom half just needs a good cleaning so it will stay yellow. the top will be painted a combination of deep blue, black and yellow accents. we have a vinyl cutter machine at work along with a neat program to go with it so i will be making my own custom graphics to go back on it. i am hoping it will all come together in a real neat looking pckage.. only time will tell. i dont mind spending a few dollars on it as i have a minimal investment in it already..

Good luck... and keep the pictures coming.

Most of my water toys were restoration projects.

thanks guys,
yes engine starts and runs. 145 in both cylinders. only ran it for a couple minutes because of the missing spark arrestor. and older gas in tank mixed with new. gonna drain everything and give it a good cleaning and good flushing too. did a complete flush on the cooling system to make sure there was no clogs. more pics coming soon....

quick update.
today seat came in as well as spark arrestor and trim linkage. rub rails all removed and body is all sanded , dings repaired and a fresh coat of primer applied. wet sand and reprime 2 more coats in near future then on to the colors, clear coat and graphics. everything ABOVE rub rails will be an automotive paint. everything BELOW rub rails will be left as is and buffed out because it is in great shape just gonna add some graphics where it said
sea doo.
gotta give a shout out to seadoo forum member patriceg007 for his great price for the seat, spark arrestor and trim linkage as well as his fast shipping, without these items i would still be looking at a crappy ski.

still alot more work to go but my initial price of $150.00 for 2 ski's allows for some spending room.

those are matts i made myself out of a product made by 3M. its a sheet of extremely durable 1/4" thick foam rubber with a super sticky adhesive backing. i used the old ones as a templeate and traced them out then cut them out with a razor knife. i work at a water flow technology lab and we use it for gaskets for our water pipes and got it for nothing so right there i saved myself like $ 100.00. they may not be as cool looking as hydroturf but they will surely do the same job and last just as long. right now there a little dusty from sanding but there a nice dark black when there clean and there just laid on there right now till i paint it then i will stick them to it.
