I want to buy the whole card set ready to go where I just get it and bolt on and hook up. Already timed and settings correct. Where and who do I get hold of to get this handled?

If he has time he can rebuild them. You can get a new set from OSD Parts. Where are you located?

Lou

A mikuni rebuild kit is $100 from osd parts that is with aftermarket needles and seats. Then it will probably run you another $100 just to have someone rebuild them.

I don't want to buy new carbs but how do I get rid of rust so I can rebuild? ?

There is a discussion on here about sonic and chemical cleaners for carbs. Look for the thread, they will get rid of rust and deposits.

Rob

You can just use a dremel with wire brush attachments or a brass fine wire brush. Then clean with carb cleaner. Those actually are not horrible. I have cleaned worse.

You need an impact driver to get those screws out. They are already stripping so at this point it is crucial that you use the impact driver. They are $8 from harbor freight

It is really easy just remember to use your current springs. Do not use the new ones that come with the kit. Unless you know what gram spring you have, you cannot just base it by them being the same length.

I just wanted to say...all used carbs should be rebuilt. Glad to see you tackled yours they didnt look all that bad.

A couple idle thoughts (they sometimes are very intermittent for we old farts) ...

Lou's question regarding where you are located was probably not just idle conversation (right Lou?). The environment in which this ski lives is very relevant to how to approach the problem, biggie is fresh or salt water.

Screws in the carb are JIS vice Phillips and to deal with them requires JIS screwdrivers. They are a PITA no matter how you look at it ... be patient.

Were I live, the fresh water is typically very hard and stuff like "Lime-away" or "CLR" (calcium, lime, rust) will clean up a lot of the deposits. Ocean is similar, just more so.

Look in the post-its for some excellent posts on cleaning up and adjusting carbs. Likewise there are a batch of youtube stuff showing the process.

I have been dealing with 2-strokes for 1 or 2 lifetimes and they are kinda like women: apparently simple, but very touchy ... oh gawd, did I really say that?

@racerxxx has been know to take on cleanings I think. You would have to ship them though unless your in PA
He should chime in now

I detail my own carbs up (see my clapped out thread) to look like new. If you're really pinched and don't want to do it I might entertain it.
