I'm putting together a 95 GTX which had the motor rebuilt, and a previous owner lost interest. I can get it to turn over, but no spark. I'm told that when connecting the battery, there should be two negative wired, one to the block, and the second to the electrical control box. I can't find a second wire. Where is the electrical control box grounded. I've checked the stator, and it seems to work fine.

it grounds in the stator/magnito houseing. Check if the plug on top of the houseing is pluged in.

Thanks. It's grounded, but that didn't solve the problem. Still no spark. On with more testing. Suggestions?

Go back to basics. Check the signal output at the Stator plug. Your 95 Shop Manual has the wire diagram/color code in the rear pages for GTX.

I agree. No spark could only be a few things. Poor wiring/ Blown fuse/ bad connection at the mag plug/ no signal to spark from the pickup coil/ bad ignition coil/ No power from the stator/ bad MPEM.

Listed in order of cheapest parts to most expensive parts.
